CorTec Is Chosen Innovator 2019 by brand eins and Statista

Just like last year CorTec has made it to the list of the most innovative companies selected by German business journal brand eins and Statista. Together with 16 other companies in the medical devices industry CorTec may now bear the title “Innovator 2019”.

Experts from the Institute for Innovation an Technology (iit) in Berlin and from the Statista panel „Expert Circle“ as well as leading business representatives from innovation award-winning companies have assessed more than 2,000 companies from 20 industries this year. Other companies in the “Medical Devices and Products” / “Medizinische Geräte und Produkte” industry that are acclaimed alongside CorTec are for example Otto Bock Healthcare, Medtronic, Siemens Healthcare, Heraeus or Med-El.

“The renewed distinction as one of the most innovative companies is a great honor for us, especially as it reflects the consistency in our development as a company over the last years,” said Dr. Jörn Rickert, Chief Executive Officer of CorTec. “After moving to our new facilities and bringing the human version of our Brain Interchange system into operation we still see high potential to boost our innovative capabilities,” added Dr. Martin Schüttler, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Executive Officer of CorTec. “We are just at the beginning.”

CorTec is positioning itself with its Brain Interchange technology as a partner for the development of innovative neurotherapies. First customers are using the closed-loop system already for pre-clinical research. The first human use of the system for exploring new personalized therapies for diseases like chronic pain, stroke, or Parkinson’s disease is about to follow as soon as possible.

CorTec is partnering up with researchers, clinicians, or other companies providing knowhow and technology to enable the development of next generation neuortherapies.
