Design Innovation: Helix Cuffs

Our °AirRay Cuff electrode technology has been expanded to include a further design: The Helix Cuff. Inspired by the designs from the Huntington Research Institute, the Helix Cuff is one of the self-adjusting electrodes in our portfolio.

The helix-like design is able to adapt to the diameter of a nerve to a certain degree. This porevents for example a nerve from being squeezed when it swells. In addition, a single electrode design can be used for different nerve diameters.

Compared to other locking mechanisms, the helix design is also easy to handle and virtually closes by itself, which is why this electrode is particularly suitable for low-trauma electrical stimulation.
