Percutaneous Leads

Percutaneous leads for deep and subcutaneous targets

Lead bodies that carry an electrical interface to subcutaneous, intraspinal or deep targets, where every contact can record and stimulate.

What they are

Percutaneous leads reach targets that sit below the surface, providing a robust electrical interface along a slim, reinforced lead body. They are used where access matters as much as the contact itself, in spinal, subcutaneous and deep applications across research and development.

The design space

Configurable parameters include the outer diameter, the number of contacts and their pitch along the lead, the lead length, the tubing material, the reinforcement, and open wire or connectorized ends.

Configurations

Percutaneous leads carry circumferential contact rings on flexible or rigid tubes, configured to your application. A typical design uses four 360 degree contact rings with a contact length of 3 mm and a contact diameter of 1 mm.

How we build them

A silicone lead body with Pt/Ir contacts and metal reinforcement for mechanical stability, built with the same materials and process discipline as our implantable systems. Full control of the lead body lets us tune flexibility, strength and contact placement to the target.

From standard to custom

Standard percutaneous configurations for R&D are available through our Chamfr store. For a specific target, length or contact pattern, we develop the lead with you.
