CorTec eröffnet neuen Standort

Am 18. Oktober hat CorTec mit einem offiziellen Festakt seine neuen Räumlichkeiten an der Neuen Messe in Freiburg eröffnet.

Auf die Grußworte vom Oberbürgermeister der Stadt Freiburg, Martin Horn, vom Ärztlichen Direktor des Universitätsklinikums Freiburg, Prof. Dr. Jörg Rüdiger Siewert, vom Vizerektor der Universität Freiburg, Prof. Dr. Gunther Neuhaus sowie vom Vertreter des Beiratsvorsitzenden von CorTec Prof. Dr. Klaus Mangold, Dr. Christoph Mangold folgte eine Festredevon Prof. Dr. Niels Birbaumer. Der Pionier der Erforschung von Brain Computer Interfaces als Hilfsmittel für schwerstgelähmte Menschen gab einen Einblick in den aktuellen Stand der Technologie, bisherige Erfolge und Herausforderungen für die Zukunft.

Im Anschluss hatten die Gäste die Gelegenheit, die neuen Räumlichkeiten zu besichtigen und an unterschiedlichen Stationen mehr über das Unternehmen und seine Technologie zu erfahren.

CorTec Opens New Headquarters

On October 18 CorTec has opened its new headquarters at Freiburg fairground with an official ceremony.

The greetings from the mayor of Freiburg, Martin Horn, the medical director of the University Hospital of Freiburg, Prof. Dr. Jörg Rüdiger Siewert, the Vice Rector of the University of Freiburg, Prof. Dr. Gunther Neuhaus as well as from the chairman of the Advisory Board of CorTec Prof. Dr. Klaus Mangold, represented by Dr. Christoph Mangold were followed by a keynote from Prof. Dr. Niels Birbaumer. The pioneer in researching Brain Computer Interfaces as an assistive device for severely paralyzed people gave an insight into the current status of the technology, previous successes, and future challenges.

After the ceremony the guests had the opportunity to visit the new premises and to learn more about the company and its technology.
