Interview TENGABLEs CEO Shai Feinsod

“We are changing the world of sensing”: How TENGABLE aims to give back the sense of touch

In a world where touch is often taken for granted, TENGABLE is setting new standards. With its innovative triboelectric nanogenerator technology (TENG), the company is developing a novel implantable device that enables people, who have lost their sense of touch due to injury or illness, to return to a fulfilling life.

At the forefront of this groundbreaking project is TENGABLEs CEO Shai Feinsod, a highly experienced healthcare executive with over 25 years of experience in start-ups in the US and Israel. The company’s version: a maintenance-free, implantable solution that does not require an external power source and yet has the potential to change the lives of millions.

TENGABLE’s technology is based on a self-powered triboelectric nanogenerator that is implanted under the skin. When pressure is applied to the sensor, it generates an electrical signal that is transmitted via insulated cables to a stimulating cuff electrode wrapped around the nearest intact afferent nerve. This allows a „touch signal“ to be transmitted to the central nervous system.

In our exclusive interview, Shai Feinsod provides insights into the company, the revolutionary technology and the collaboration with CorTec.

Find out how TENGABLE not only restores the sense of touch, but also hope and quality of life.
